aquatic products: phytic acid is suitable to be preservative agent used for aquatic products, e.g. prawn freezing, adding amount is about 0.05%-0.1% phytic acid solution. in japan, 0.1~0.5% phytic acid is added to shellfish cans to prevent discoloring.
under 100℃, adding 0.3% phytic acid can prevent fish body discoloring in two minutes. solution mixed with 0.01-0.05% phytic acid and micro-citric acid is effective preservative agent for fruit, vegetable and flower.
